RCA/Legacy ha preparado una edición espcial de los conciertos de Elvis Presley en el Madison Square Garden de Nueva York. Los dos CDs y un DVD, con el título de “Prince From Another Planet”, serán publicados el 30 de octubre. Elvis ofreció cuatro conciertos en el Madison Square Garden en el fin de semana del 9 al 11 junio de 1972. Solo unos días después, el 18 de junio, se publicó un LP con el concierto del sábado 10 por la noche. Y en 1997 se lanzó “Elvis as recorded at the Madison Square Garden”, con grabaciones del concierto del sábado por la tarde.
Las grabaciones originales han sido mezcladas para su edición en “Prince From Another Planet” (titular con el que “The New York Times” reseñó las cuatro actuaciones de Elvis en el Madison Square Garden) por el ingeniero Michael Brauer. El primer CD recoge íntegro, introducciones incluidas, el concierto del sábado por la tarde, y el segundo el del sábado por la noche. El DVD ofrece imágenes inéditas del concierto del sábado por la tarde filmadas por un fan y que recientemente han sido adquiridas por Legacy. También contiene la conferencia de prensa que Elvis, su padre, Vernon Presley, y su manager, el coronel Paker, ofrecieron el 9 de junio para presentar las cuatro actuaciones.
