El ingeniero de sonido y productor Bob Blank fundó en 1976 los Blank Tape Studios, en Nueva York. Blank ha trabajado con músicos tan dispares como Chic, Sun Ra, Tito Puente, Sting o Lydia Lunch. El 2 de febrero se pone a la venta “The Blank Generation: Blank Tapes NYC 1975-1985”, un álbum que por primera vez traza una retrospectiva del trabajo de blank, reuniendo grabaciones realizadas entre 1975 y 1985.
