La edición restaurada y ampliada de “Charlie is my Darling – Ireland 1965”, la película que documenta la gira que los Rolling Stones realizaron por Irlanda en 1965, unas semanas antes de que “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” fuera editado, será publicada en DVD y Blu-ray el 6 de noviembre por Universal. El estreno tuvo lugar ayer en el New York Film Festival. Dirigida originalmente por Peter Whitehead y producida por el entonces manager de la banda, Andrew Loog Oldham, nunca fue estrenada y hasta ahora solo se conocían unos fragmentos. La versión 2012, a la que se ha añadido material descubierto recientemente, ha sido dirigida y restaurada por Mick Gochanour y el productor Robin Klein.
Ya disponemos del tráiler de “Charlie is my Darling – Ireland 1965” y de los principales datos de la edición de lujo: que incluye tanto el DVD como el Blu-ray, la versión 2012 de la película y las versiones del director y del productor, material inédito adicional de las actuaciones y otras imágenes de Dublín y Belfast de septiembre de 1965, un CD con la banda sonora del film, un CD con trece temas grabados en vivo durante la gira británica de 1965, un vinilo de 10″ y un póster.
