Finalmente, Columbia Legacy publicará el amplio recopilatorio del guitarrista Michael Bloomfield “From his head to his heart to his hands” el 4 de febrero. La caja, como ya habíamos informado, ha sido preparada por el amigo y colaborador de Bloomfield Al Kooper. Constará de tres CDs (“Roots” “Jams” y “Last licks”) y un DVD que contendrá el documental “Sweet slues: A film about Michael Bloomfield”, dirigido por Bob Sarles. La edición se completará con un texto del periodista de “Mojo” Michael Simmons. En las grabaciones encontramos a Blomfield en estudio o en concierto junto a Paul Butterfield Blues Band, The Electric Flag, Muddy Waters y Janis Joplin. Entre las rarezas inéditas (según revela Examiner.com), figuran tres de Bob Dylan: una versión instrumental de ‘Like a rolling stone’, ‘Tombstone blues’ con coros de los Chambers Brothers, versión diferente de la incluida en “No direction home”, y la grabación en directo de ‘The groom’s still waiting at the altar’, en 1980, con la presentación hablada del propio Dylan.
