Chip Taylor es autor de clásicos como ‘Wild thing’ o ‘Angel of the morning’. Sus canciones han sido interpretadas por, entre otros muchos, Anne Murray, Janis Joplin, Ike and Tina Turner, Linda Ronstadt, Juice Newton, The Hollies, The Troggs o Waylon Jennings. Además de jugador profesional, Taylor es hermano del actor Jon Voight y tío de Angelina Jolie.
En 2002, Taylor se unió a la violinista Carrie Rodriguez para hacer americana, y con la que ya ha grabado tres álbumes. El sello Train Wreck Records acaba de publicar una recopilación de lo mejor de los tres bajo el título de “The new bye & bye – The best of the train wreck years 2002 – 2007”.
