La cantautora Anaïs Mitchell estrenó en 2006 su ópera “Hadestown”, basada en el mito de Orfeo. El 9 de marzo Righteous Babe Records pondrá a la venta un álbum con la última versión de la obra, en la que colaboran Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), en el papel de Orfeo, Ani DiFranco, como Perséfone, Greg Brown, como Hades, y Low Anthems (Ben Knox Miller), en el papel de Hermes.
